General information:
According to the order of the Committee on Higher Education “About the introduction
of a multilevel training of specialists to the higher education level” the
branch of specialists training (with a bachelor degree- B.Sc.)- within the educational direction “Technology of food
products” was organized in the frames of the structure of the technological
division. The Division of Multilevel Training of Specialists (DMTS) is the
youngest one in KemIFS&T. It was created to
realize innovational system of education according to the European and North America’s university standards.
DMTS reveals a unique opportunity for students to receive a diploma/degree
of higher education on a full time basis in 4 years or 2 diplomas/degrees
of higher education in 5 years. Unlike those students who learn according
to the traditional educational system, students of DMTS get more than a qualification:
they are granted bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The graduates with a degree have a wider choice of future professional
activity as it is not limited by a particular narrow specialization. DMTS
is especially popular with entrants oriented towards a scientific career
since it reveals wide perspectives in the given area.
Baccalaureate
After finishing first four years of learning a student gets a bachelor
degree which is certified by the higher education diploma. Learning in Baccalaureate
is distinguished with deep studying of humanitarian, fundamental, general technical, and special subjects. Volunteers can study
two foreign languages. Bachelor-graduates are employed to food enterprises.
If they have a desire to receive a certain specialization, they can
continue their education on the fifth year course at the mechanical/technological
or economics and management divisions. In this case the bachelor’s diploma
is added with the corresponding qualification diploma of higher education.
To continue scientific activity bachelors enter Master’s Courses.
Master’s Courses
About 10% graduates enter Master’s
Courses. Studying at Master’s
Courses means the future enhancing of the postgraduate knowledge base
accompanied with an intensive research. Master’s degree is granted only to
those who managed to properly submit and defend their master’s theses. On
finishing Master’s Courses a
graduate is granted a master’s
diploma – a diploma of the highest rank in Higher Education.

080100 - Economics
Degree – a bachelor.
Complex learning of economic subjects and peculiarities of technological production
has a sufficient practical effect. The expert activity in the field of
economics is directed to provide the performance of the enterprises of all
organization and legal forms and social development with taking into
consideration certain features of the food branch. The bachelor level got at
DMTS provides the successful beginning of a graduate career.
080109 – Accounting, analysis, and audit
Qualification – an economist.
Graduates have an opportunity to promote their career in any type of
business. The profession allows working in financial branches of enterprises
and organizations of all kinds of property and industry. The experts of
this direction can work as accountants, economists, financial analysts, tax
inspectors, and experts in budgeting.
150400 - Technological machines and equipment
Degree – a bachelor.
A graduate can work in the design sphere, manufacturing, regulating, and
exploitation- this all concerning technological machines and equipment for
producing materials and goods available in different branches of the national
economy. The careers of bachelor- specialists in mechanics
are not restricted by limits of
the food industry. Employers always grant preference to the engineering specialists
with higher professional education. Profound theoretical and practical
knowledge the graduates have is also welcomed in other highly technological
industrial branches.
260100 – Technology of food products
Degree – a bachelor.
A graduate is got trained for the professional activity in the field of processing
vegetable, animal, and agricultural raw materials to produce food products.
The graduates can work in fast food systems, restaurants, cafes. The experts
of this profile develop new types of production, beverages, drinks, and
dishes, provide technological processes of their production, and supervise their
quality .The professionally important qualities of a future expert include a
good knowledge in chemistry and applied biotechnology, and also in the food
industry equipment. That is why an entrant is to have a good knowledge in
chemistry and mathematics.
