Purposes for the patent activity
The solution of such problems as the creation, legal defense and
realization of industrial property objects: inventions, useful models, industrial
samples, brands, innovation proposals and copyrighted objects, discoveries,
software, data bases and so on.
Tasks
- Development and realization of the
patent-licensing policy and the policy in the field of copyrighted
objects, development of regulation documents.
- Finding out and drawing up the objects of
intellectual property created in the Institute.
- Getting the Institute’s possession of rights
for intellectual property for the objects of the intellectual activity.
- Providing grounds for making up for the damage
inflicted to the Institute if its rights for intellectual property are
breached.
- Participation in commercializing the created
objects of the intellectual property.
Functions
The engineer in patent information:
- provides a high technical level, patentability and
patent purity of machinery, methods, and materials created in the
Institute.
- takes part in performing the research at all stages
of the development of technological objects.
- considers the problems for designing and upgrading
machines, devices, equipment and technological processes, the results of
fulfilled developments, analyzes their technical level and creates
conditions for the introduction of advanced technologies and equipment.
- uses modern computers and communication networks to
create and systematically fill the patent fund concerning the Institute
profile.
- adds the patent research results to the technical
documentation.
- presents the available patent materials to the
Institutes officers and assists them to make applications.
- develops documents on patent licensing, inventions, and
innovation work.
- collects innovation proposals, registers, and
classifies the data.
- helps to form the applications for innovations and
necessary technical documentation.
- presents the acting regulations of innovators’ and
inventors’ rights to the Institute officers.
- takes part in considering the innovation proposals
and inventions, technical and economical expertise and conclusions on
them.
- administers the introduction of innovation proposals and
inventions into the production sphere, checks the calculations of
economical efficiency of a patent object, and evaluates awards to the
authors.
- draws up the documents for inventions and for
authors’ awards.
- arranges the conditions for realizing innovation and
invention projects, improves the forms and methods of work on
innovations and inventions.
- makes reports on patent licensing materials, on
invention and innovation projects, and on the accepted and used
innovation proposals and inventions.
